We feel very blessed to be serving our mission at the London Temple. Every day we experience special experiences that add to our testimonies of the love that our Heavenly Father has for us. People come from all over to do their own work in the temple, or to do the work for their ancestors. Many of the people have spent hundreds of hours researching out and learning about their ancestors. Ken and I have been working on our Family History and have been blessed to do the work for many of our own ancestors. We have sent names home to our children and they have also felt the special feelings of doing our own work. Our ancestors are waiting.
TRIP TO BODIAM CASTLE ON OUR P-DAY

For our P-day we went in the Temple van with a few couples to see Bodiam Castle and the Town of Rye. Bodiam Castle is one of the finest
examples of medieval moated military architecture in Britain. It was built between 1385 and 1388 by Sir
Edward Dalyngrigge, a veteran of the 100 year war. The castle has been used in many
feature films. “Robin of Sherwood”, the Robin Hood TV series from the 50’s and
MGM’s “Quentin Derward” to name a few. The inside of the castle are in ruins but very interesting to see. The moat is quite large and full of fish (carp), with lots of ducks swimming in the water.
The town of Rye is known for it's beautiful cobblestone streets and old buildings. One of the best preserved medieval towns in England, Rye is home to the enchanting cobbled Mermaid Street and the Norman Church of St. Mary's. Rye was once surrounded on three sides by the sea and its maritime heritage dates back to Norman times.

SPECIAL DAY AT THE LONDON TEMPLE

We had the privilege of entertaining Brigham and Hepsan Solomon. They were the two sons of Sankar and Hebziba
Solomon who were being sealed together.
They were cute little boys.
Brigham was 7 and Hepsan was 10.
They were so happy to be getting sealed to their parents. They were from Oman. We were very impressed with the boys and the knowledge they had of the
gospel. We watched them from about 9:30
a.m. – 4 p.m. We showed them the temple cafeteria, walked them around the temple grounds, went to the Church Distribution Center, and then took them to our apartment to fix them lunch. They were such cute little boys. We were blessed to help
them get dressed in their white clothing and go to the Sealing Room and watch
as they were sealed together as a family for time and all Eternity. It was a special spiritual experience. Their family looked beautiful all dressed in white.

FREIBERG GERMANY TEMPLE
This is the Freiberg Germany LDS Temple. We were
able to spend two days in the temple at the end of our first mission
to the Czech Prague Mission. It is a beautiful temple.
We received an email from Elder and Sister Albin Dittli who were in the MTC with us. They are serving in the Freiberg Germany Temple and shared this experience with us:
"Yesterday in prayer meeting, Sister Bartko, one of the German sisters who serves here, gave her
testimony. The translation was a little lacking in some details, such as the age of her son, and when and where it happened. She told of going to the temple to do an endowment. As the session was about to start she got a feeling that something was wrong at home. She wanted to leave and go home, but a member of the Temple Presidency told her to finish the session and all would be well when she got home. She then finished the session, and afterwards went home. When she got home she could not find her son. She checked a nearby pond, with no results, then went home again and looked again for him. She found him in a closet and he was soaking wet. He told his mother that he fell into the pond and was drowning and a woman came and rescued him. Then the woman gave him a piece of paper with her name on it. The mother read the name. It was the same name as the name she had just completed an endowment for at the temple."
